止水工事は既設防水は撤去しない状態で、洗浄・防水・保護コート・塗装の工程で施工しておりますが、
表面はタイル調・石調などの仕上げにすることも出来ます。
材料はウオーターベースですので、通常の防水材では施工困難な場所への施工も可能です。
東京ディズニーランド（ディズニーシー）でもこの防水材で施工しております。

Mr. Crouch,
The Mulasticoat system used on Disney projects to my knowledge has been
for waterproofing of waterways and waterfalls.
I first used the system in 1991 on a project in Walt Disney World
Florida, We had a
20'X 18'pool on a 6"concrete roof with 3 waterfalls, the show was
inside of the bunker and had penetrations in the roof from the previous
show that it was used for. I had to come up with a system that would not
leak.
The process that Disney uses to create shows of thin kind are what we
call Rockwork, We use rebar and lath to create the rock forms and pans
for the water pools. We scratch coat the lath and then apply a brown
coat to the areas that will make up the wet areas. To this we apply two
coats of the slatex, "Blue Goo" as the workers who applied it so loving
called it. Flowed by one coat of the Scratch 2000. Over this we apply
our finish texture coats. That water system has not leaked to date.
This application is not the same as below grade waterproofing but I feel
it is an even more demanding use of this system. Rebar and lath with 3"
of plaster on it has never been waterproofed in the past due to
expansion cracking and vibration, they have always leaked.
We have to my knowledge tested the system only once and that was in Japan
5 years ago on the new park that was to be built there 4'
diameter by 3' deep pans were built from rebar and lath plastered as
I described above then over the scratch 2000 we applied a finish coat of
about 1".
4 different systems were used in the test, the rebar on one side of the
pan was welded to a steel plate and the pans were filled with water and
a forklift would lift up on the other side till the plaster cracked. In
the end Multicoat was the only one that pasted the test. It sat outside
for 2 years filled with water with a 1/16" crack in the plaster.
As I stated before this is not a below grade building application but
something more extreme.

マルチコート製品はディズニーランド建設において滝や川などのセッティングを
造る際に防水工事に使っています。
私どもがマルチコート製品を最初に使ったのは1991年フロリダのディズニーランド
建設の時でした。
ここでは、15ｃｍ厚のコンクリート屋根の屋上に6ｍ×5.4ｍの池と3つの滝を作りま
した。池は一部コンクリート屋根を突き抜けて建造されたので、水漏れしない完璧な
防水工事が必要でした。
ディズニーランドのこの種の施工法はいわゆる「ロックワーク」と呼ばれるものです。
先ず鉄筋とラスで岩の形と底部の水がめを作り、その上から、”スクラッチコート”を
掛け、次いで”ブラウンコート”を掛けます。周辺の漏れる所にも一緒に”ブラウン
コート”を施します。そしてこの上からマルチコート社のムラスティコートを二度掛
けして、その上にマルチコート”スクラッチコート2000”を塗りました。
ムラスティコートを掛けた職人がその施工性の良さに惚れ込んで”ブルーグー”と
ニックネームをつけて呼んでいました。そして最後に仕上げコートを施しました。
今日現在まで水漏れは一切起きていません。
この施工方法は一般的な地下防水施工と異なります。もっと過酷な状況下での施工法
です。マルチコート以外の材料を使った施工ではいつも水漏れが有りました。
東京ディズニーランドを作った際にもこの施工法を使いました。この時、マルチコー
ト社を含めた4社の製品をテストしましたが、結局テストに合格し採用されたのはマ
ルチコート社製品でした。
今回の香港ディズニーランドでもマルチコート製品を使っている事を付け加えます。
